Pontefract host the 2nd Division Team Championship

Woolley Park Golf Club won the 2nd Division Scratch Team Championship for players with handicaps above 13 at Pontefract Golf Club with an aggregate team score of 364. The club were represented by Michael Onions (88),Gary Birch (89), Terence Cooper (91) and Ian Townend (96) and were presented with the magnificent J H Robinson Trophy first presented in 1938 to a winning team.

In second place were Wakefield Golf Club 11 shots behind with an aggregate score of 375 closely followed by Normanton in third place with 377.

Stephen Milner(Temple Newsam) beat Richard Bradbury ( Wakefield) with a better back 9 score after they both posted 87 and was presented with The Bill Darby Trophy donated by a past President H.W.Darby Esq in 1969.
