Record entry in the Senior Fourball at Sand Moor.
Sand Moor proved to be a very popular venue for the Senior Four Ball Championship with a record entry of 180 players who enjoyed the course which was in great condition. The greens were very fast and true and it is no mean feat to produce the testing course after the woeful winter we have had.
Ben Shaw and his partner David Swift produced a very good score of 45 points to beat Glen Fry and Colin Tichias who posted 44 points along with Neil East and Sam Wickens who lost out on second place on the back nine count back. Competition Secretary John Knott presented the winners with the Bob McLauchlanTrophy presented by Roundhay Golf Club in 2011 in memory of a prominent member and keen supporter of the Leeds Union.

2nd. Glenn Fry (7) & Colin Tichias (17) ( Pontefract & District) - 44 Points
3rd. Neil East Whitwood (14) & Samuel Wickens (22) (Whitwood) - 44 Points
