Junior Team Championship 2018
On a miserable overcast day the Junior golfers of Leeds gathered at Waterton Park Golf Club in high spirits to contest the Junior Team Championship. Waterton Park Golf Club had done a great job to provide a course which was fit to play during a week when the weather threatened to close the Course.
The Championship was won by a an excellent Cookridge Hall team with the Leeds Junior Captain, Nathan Ali producing the best gross score of the day 72 supported by Jeehvan Singh 73 and James Trant 83 giving a total best of three score of 145. Selby were runners up with a total of 156.
The leading Nett Team score was produced by Oulton Hall, Jake Wallis,Regan Gray and Oliver Maundrill with 145 and Garforth were runners up with 134 beating Cookridge Hall 3 after a tie and the third player scores being added.
Zara Ali won the best nett score with 64 beating Garforths Matthew Wylde on the back 9 holes.
