LEEDS & DISTRICT UNION of GOLF CLUBS
Wetherby Golf Club were perfect hosts for the 2024 Finals of the four Club Knockout competitions which started back in April. Members of the Leeds Executive were out in force to act as referees for the ten matches involved in producing worthy champions. President Peter Bentley was proud to act as starter and host at his own Club and the matches were keenly contested.

Moor Allerton pair Saul Guilford and Rafi Saipe beat Tom Hough and Kieran Nichols from Pontefract in a close match by 2 holes to win the FW Nettleton Salver and become 2024 Foursomes Champions.
Waterton Park retained the Scratch Knockout title by beating Headingley 2-1 and keep the Past Presidents Cup once again. Headingley took the early lead when Danny Wilkes beat Ryan Knock 6&5 but Jack Clements beat Brad Schmulian 2&1 to level and Captain Peter Caddies beat Ade Arnold 2&1 to win the match.

Selby are 2024 Nett KO Champions and took home the John Smiths Trophy. Selby came out of the blocks with a bang and won the match when Mark Kelly beat Lee Storrar 4&3 and David Henry took a close match by 1 hole from Paul Turner. The third Woolley player Paul Altree secured a consolation by beating Thomas Baboolal 3&2.
Normanton won The Senior Cup by beating Temple Newsam 2-1 in the Senior Knockout Final. Phil Turner beat Jack Watkins 4&3 and Captain Graham Hall secured the match with a resounding win by 7&6 against John Orrell.
