Horsforth held its Junior Open on a cold and blustery 1st September. 28 Juniors played in the competition run by Horsforth Junior Organiser Carol Outhwaite and Competition Chairman Mike Allen.
In the Copier Company OOM Gross competition Sam Mcintyre (Garforth) scored a fine 76 to win by one stroke from Sam Smith (Horsforth). Ajay Seehra (Cookridge Hall) was third on 80. Horsforth Junior Organiser presents Sam with his prize.
In the Nett competition Ethan Harris (Garforth) carded a great 68 to win by 2 strokes from Kieran Woodrow (Wike Ridge). Sam Smith was third on countback from club mate Lucas Lewis with 71. Carol Outhwaite presents Ethan with his prize.
In the race for the coveted Copier Company Golf Bags everything goes down to the final round at Sand Moor on Sunday 29th September! Ben Waite (Low Laithes) is leading the Gross competition with 380 points. Sam Mcintyre can gain a maximum of 385 points. Ben must finish in the top 3 to improve his 'best 5 scores' PHEW!! How close can it be?
In the nett competition the winner could come from one of FIVE competitors. Ethan Harris leads the way with 256 points. Freddie Linfoot (Woolley Park) has 238 points, Daniel Kirby (Normanton) has 198 points, Alexander Taylor (Normanton) has 193 points, and Harry McLaughlin (Moortown) has 175 points.
