JOOM Final Results 2024
The final Junior Open day, which provided qualifying points for the annual Leeds Union Junior Order of Merit was hosted by Sand Moor Golf Club with a great entry of 51 players from predominantly LDU Clubs.
Competition was maintained up to this last event with a number of players in each category able to secure the titles and win one of the coveted Copier Company golf bags with the JOOM Claret Jug and replica.
In the Gross competition Ben Waite (Low Laithes) won 75 points at Sand Moor to secure the title with a grand total of 390 points through the season to hold off a sterling challenge from Alexander Taylor (Normanton) who won at Sand Moor and gained 100 points but came second with a combined total of 369 points for the year.
The Nett competition was won by Freddie Linfoot (Woolley Park) who won 75 points at Sand Moor to secure the title with 297 points as the leader at the start of the day, Ethan Harris (Garforth), only won 20 points to to secure second place with 276 points.
LDU Junior Organiser, Paul Browning and Sand Moor Captain , Christine Hinchcliffe presented the bags and trophies to Ben and Freddie.
